LESSON ONE: HOW TO LOG ON TO THE
ADMINISTRATIVE MENU
Overview: The Summer Teams Database has a
private, administrative interface as well as the public portion of the
database that all of the viewers see. This lesson will guide you
through the log in process so that you can access the administrative menu.

1. From the Main
Menu of the website (www.baseballnebraska.com), click on "Teams".
This will take you to the Summer Teams Database Page. Using the
Database Menu along the left side of the Database Main Page, click on
"Administration." |

| 2. This will take you
to the Administrative Login screen. Enter the Username and
Password that have been provided to you. |

| 3. After you log on,
you will arrive at the Administrative Menu screen. You can ignore
all of the advertising on the right-hand portion of the screen.
Everything that you will be working on is in the red menu. You can also
ignore the "Other Services" portion of the Admin Menu. So
basically, everything you need is under Main Admin, Team Setup and
Miscellaneous. |

A quick word about moving
back and forth between the Admin Menu and the public side of the
website, which we'll just call "the Website." After you add or
modify information using features on the Admin Menu, you will want to
exit Admin and go back to the Website to see how it looks. To do
so, just click on the green "Exit Admin" link. Doing so allows you
to return to Admin by just clicking on the red "Administration" link
without having to go through the log in process. If on the other
hand, you were to exit Admin by clicking on the red Logout link, you
would have to go through the log in process to re-enter Admin from the
Website.
At this point, you can
change your Administrative Password if you want to by using the "Admin
Password" link under Main Admin. I do not have a record of your
passwords. If you forget yours, just let me know, and I can re-set
it to a generic password. |
