Welcome to the BaseballNebraska.com Team Reporter's Companion website.  This site will be used to provide training and assistance for volunteers who serve as Team Reporters.

As we embark on Year Four of Baseball Nebraska.com (formerly MetroPreps Baseball), I would like to thank each of you for agreeing to serve as Team Reporter for your team.  The contributions of volunteers such as yourself make this site possible.  Thank you.

Some of you may be new users of the site, and others may be returning Team Reporters who used the site last year.  For our returners, please take a quick review of the Lessons to help refresh your skills.  Not much has changed, however, there are a couple of new wrinkles.  For newcomers, please study the Lessons in sequence to get up to speed.  I am also available by phone or email to answer any questions you may have.

The first tasks for the season will be to enter the schedule, which will also involve "creating" opponents and locations that may not be in the system.   Those tasks are covered in Lessons Five and Six. 

As your team begins playing its schedule, we encourage each of you to please enter as much information about your completed games as possible.  In addition to entering scores, please try to also create a headline and brief game summary for each game.  We would like to make the site as interesting as possible for our readers rather than just having only scores.  Adding box scores (inning by inning scores) is also very much appreciated.  If you can provide additional information (and stats, if you wish) for your games as you go along that would be very much appreciated by our readers.
